Grant Description
This grant can be used to reimburse Officials who incur expenses to attend a U.S. Figure Skating School, Seminars, or for travel to trial judge opportunities. Schools/Seminars attended that do not require travel and/or hotel stays do not qualify; however registration fees paid for virtual schools DO qualify. Officials may receive no more than two grants per year or a maximum of $400 total. The application below must be submitted within 30 days of the last day of the school or trial judging opportunity.
Eligibility
ALL prospective and appointed Officials who are members of SEGL clubs and in good standing with USFS qualify. This includes Accountants, Referees, Music Technicians, Ice Technicians, Announcers, Technical Panel, Competition, and Test Judges.
Request Approval Process
Requests will be reviewed by the SEGL Board of Directors at their next scheduled meeting. Applicants will be notified of approval/denial of requests via email and reimbursement checks will be mailed to the address listed on the application. Receiving an appointment from the school, or after the trial judging opportunity, will not be a basis for approving or denying a request for reimbursement.
